Brad Wolfheart. Hero or Villain?
He smoked, sold drugs and sneered his way through Book One, earning his reputation as the town’s low life. But then he surprised us.
Now, it’s five years later, and he’s in trouble.
Healing on the creek
Book Two opens with a secret burial in the night. Covered in blood, a man digs a grave. He looks culpable, guilty. He also looks heartbroken. The next morning, Shady Gully wakes up to the news that Wolfheart’s cherished sister, Peony, has been brutally murdered.
Certain sectors of Shady Gully would love nothing more than to see the downfall of Wolfheart, the town villain. But is he? The subject of his guilt or innocence divides the town and inflames extremes on both sides.
Fear, paranoia and pent up resentment erupt in chaos and violence. As Shady Gully burns with irreparable acts of hatred, and Wolfheart is finally led away in handcuffs, he has only one thought:
How can he protect his niece and her daughter from the same fate as his sister?
