Update on shady gully finale

​Happy New Year!

Yessss! We're already in April of 2026 and I'm just NOW emailing y'all. Shame on me. I apologize. To make it up to you, I thought I'd show you what AI came up with when I randomly asked for a photo that encapsulated the Shady Gully series. Hmmmmmmm. Not sure I'd ever use that as it doesn't seem like Shady Gully at all, but the colors are pretty!!!

Speaking of colors, anybody want to guess the color for book 5's cover? Here's the twist: I don't know the color yet either, but as soon as I do, I'll let you know. HOW ABOUT THIS? Let's run a contest! If YOU guess it correctly, I'll send you a digital ARC (Advanced Review Copy) of book 5 when it's ready......!! I'll pick three winners and as soon as I know, you'll know.

Now for the bad news. Obviously, book 5 didn't make it for the first quarter of 2026. Unfortunately, because of a number of complicated issues that resulted in a backlog on my publisher's end (all too confusing for yours truly to decipher) the release schedule has been pushed back. I'd love to give you an estimate on when it will be ready, but I won't, because I don't want to disappoint you, but it is COMING SOON.

A heartfelt apology goes out to the folks who have been waiting patiently. I know some of you have even gone to the trouble of rereading EACH BOOK so you'd be ready for the finale. I'm so, so sorry.

Now, here's one reason I've been unable to get to my website and write to you.

Benji!! My grandson is nearly six months old!! Can you believe it? He is so adorable, and the most "smiley" baby I've ever seen. I've been keeping him quite often as my daughter transitions back to work mode. She gave me special permission to include the pics, as she knew I was trying to butter y'all up.
